TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
• Worked as Lecturer and Sr. Lecturer at Deptt. Of Social Work, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan from February 1988 to June 1997.
• Undertook the position of Reader, Department of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, TISS from July 1997 to June 1999.
• Working as Principal, Institute of Rural Reconstruction, Visva Bharati since July 2005 onwards.

ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE:
• Worked as Labour Officer in Walchand Group Industries, Mumbai from January 1982 to October 1984.
• Worked as Personnel Officer at Durgapur Projects Ltd., Durgapur from November 1984 to July 1987.
• Undertook responsibility of Conciliation and Enforcement Officer at Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India from August 1987 to January 1988.
• Remained the Head of Department of Social Work, Visva-Bharati from May 2000 to March 2003 and 2009 to 2011.

• Presented paper titled “Human Resource Development in the Unorganised sector - Strategies and Interventions” in the refresher course of UGC in Department of Social Work, Visva-Bharati, 2001.
• An article entitled “Sustainable Development through Tagore’s Philosophy of Rural Reconstruction” presented in IUCISD seminar in Istanbul, Turkey in June 2001.
• Presented papers and participated at the conference on Practice Research Engagement (PRE) organized by PRIA, New Delhi, February, 2002.
