Monitoring of Water Quality of three Rivers of West Bengal, namely Mayurakshi, Ajoy & Jalangi - Deptt. of      Environment, Govt. of N. Bengal 2000-2001, 2001-2002.

As a Principal investigator conducted the project on "Water Monitoring of three rivers of Bengal and Jharkhand namely Ajay, Mayurakshi and Jalangi" covering 14 selected stations on sixteen physico chemical pollution determining parameters, sponsored by Department of Environment, Govt. of West Bengal (2000 - 2001, 2001 - 2002)

Carrying Research work in the field of anthropogeography on "impact of developmental strategies on the      aboringinal tribal community of Andaman and Nicobar Islands", during field work the days were spent by the      researcher with the tribal communities at a gap of ten years.
Completed Environmental Odyssey programme along three rivers of Eastern India, from source to mouth to make a      study on changing behaviour of the river morphology in the present environmental context and the human      perception on river truth.
As an expert engaged in the scheme on 'Rooftop rain water harvesting' at Visva-Bharati, sponsored by Central      Ground Water Board, Govt. of India.
Presently engaged in river flood management policy programmes with the NGOs of Eastern India.
