Ranked first on the 2002 merit list of candidates selected by the WB College Service Commission for lectureship      under Calcutta University
Awarded a Goethe Institut Scholarship in 1998 to pursue an eight-week intensive course in Advanced German      Language at Goethe Institut, Bonn, Germany from September to October, 1998.
