A(1). Essential Qualifications for posts under serial Nos. 1 to 6
An eminent scholar with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with 10 years experience in post-graduate teaching and/or experience in research at University / National level Institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level. The teachers with 15 years of U.G./research experience may also be considered at the discretion of the University.

OR

An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge.

A(2). Additional Qualifications for posts under serial Nos. 1 to 6

For serial No.1
Master Degree in Tibetan Language and literature with at least a Diploma in Sanskrit/ Master Degree in Sanskrit with at least a Diploma in Tibetan/Master Degree in Pali with at least a Diploma in Tibetan and sound knowledge in Sanskrit/Master 's Degree in Philosophy (Buddhism as the special paper) with at least diploma in Tibetan and sound knowledge in Sanskrit/Master's Degree in Ancient Indian History (Religion as the special paper) with at least a Diploma in Tibetan and sound knowledge in Sanskrit.

For serial No. 6
Post-graduate degree in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics followed by a doctoral degree in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics with 10 years experience of teaching at the post-graduate level at an Agricultural Institute/University and experience of handling research in the field of agriculture.

A(3). Desirable Qualifications for posts under serial Nos 1 to 6
Experience of restoration and translation of Indian texts from Tibetan. Ability to supervise the research projects and Publications undertaken by the Department of Indo-Tibetan Studies and the University in the related fields.

Serial No. 2
Algebraic Geometry, Algebraic Topology, Harmonic Analysis, Fuzzy Systems, Futurology, Industrial Mathematics or any other branch of Pure/ Applied Mathematics.

Serial No. 3
Ph. D. Degree in Computer Science/Physics/Mathematics/Life Science/Statistics with 10 years teaching experience in Computer Science from a recognized University or Institution.

Serial No. 4.
Any branch of theoretical or experimental Physics preferably from Astrophysics and Cosmology.

Serial No. 5
M. Sc. in Botany followed by Ph.D. Degree with research specialization in the following areas - Phycology/Cytogenetics & Plant Tissue Culture/Palynology Environmental Biology/Plant Physiology/Mycology and Plant Pathology.

Serial No. 6.
Active interest in collaborative research work at National/International level and willingness to participate in interdisciplinary courses and other extension activities, specially organization of seminars, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula etc.
