B(1). Essential Qualifications for posts under serial Nos.7 to 16
Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In addition to these, candidates who join from outside the university system, shall also possess at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade at the Master's Degree level.

Five years experience of teaching as Lecturer or equivalent at U.G./P.G. level in the Scale of pay of Rs. 8000-275-13,500/- and / or research excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degrees and has made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation, design of new courses and curricula.

B(2). Additional Qualifications for posts under serial Nos.7 to 16

Serial No. 12
M.Sc. in Botany, followed by Ph.D. Degree with research Specialization in Plant Biosystematics/ Molecular Biology/Mycology and Plant Pathology/Plant anatomy.

Serial No 13
M.Sc. followed by Ph.D. in any branch of life Science With research specialization in Molecular Biology/Genetics/
Biochemistry as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journals.

Serial No. 14
Bachelors degree in Agriculture followed by Master's Degree in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from a recognized University with Soil Chemistry/ Soil Fertility/ Soil Physics/ Soil Microbiology.

Serial No. 15
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (4 years' duration) followed by Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics from an Indian or a Foreign University with specialization in Agricultural Marketing and price Analysis/Agricultural Finance and Co-operation.

B(3). Desirable Qualifications for posts under serial Nos 7 to 16

Serial No. 7
Specialization in Organic/Inorganic/Physical Chemistry with doctorate degree and teaching experience in post-graduate level.

Specialization in Actuarial Statistics.

Serial No. 9
Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science/Physics/Mathematics with at least five years teaching experience in Computer Science in a recognized University or Institution at the undergraduate or post-graduate level.

Any branch of experimental Physics.

Serial No. 11
Research specialization in Fish Biology/ Environmental Biology/
Genetics/Immunology as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journals.

Serial No. 14
Active interest in research and willingness to participate in Agricultural Extension activities including RAWE, on-farm research, demonstration, farmers' training and co-curricular programme in addition to normal teaching assignment.

Serial No. 15
Active interest in research as well as willingness to participate in extension activities including Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme, Farmers and agents' Training and Co-curricular programme in addition to normal teaching assignment.
